TYPICAL RIGGING AND SLINGING COURSE

 

COURSE AIM:

To provide assistant riggers with a foundation to artisanship. On completion of this course candidates are issued with certificate of competence.

No previous experience required.
 
The course has minimum requirements for literature and numeracy and pre course assessments may be undertaken to ensure that candidates meet the criteria.
 
Support is available for candidates who may require help before undertaking the course.
 
4 (Four) weeks.
 
Fundamental modules of the course cover the OSH act and fall protection plan. This outlines and covers rigging safety as the primary focus.
 
Since we deal intensively with the safety aspect of rigging – the course increases safety levels in this specific industry which has been traditionally viewed as ‘dangerous’. This due to the fact that safe working procedures are often not followed.
